Service available to ESCOs that want to apply for additional financing

This programme was approved by the Spanish Climate Change Office in 2014, and it’s a program to attract funding for projects that implement energy efficiency measures and / or renewable energy, and reduce CO2 emissions. It’s a service available to ESCOs that want to apply for this financing and thus recover a part of the investment made thanks to the reduction of CO2 emissions achieved.

Each project that participates in the CLIMA Programme receives funding for 4 years. The Government, through a contract, commits to purchasing the tonnes of CO2 avoided by those facilities that implement energy efficiency measures and/or renewable energies that replace the use of fossil fuels. These can be existing facilities that are modified or newly created.
